About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Submarine Operability Specialist to join our team at BAE Systems (New). This is a unique opportunity to work on the development of the SSN-AUKUS submarine design, ensuring its safety, operability, and habitability by its crew.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend design reviews and provide expertise on platform systems, electrical generation & distribution, and whole boat activities.
  • Participate in experimental design and user trials, providing guidance and sharing knowledge on Safety, Quality, Environmental, and Procurement (SQEP) aspects.
  • Support Operating Documentation Production Authority in the derivation and verification of OPDOC.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in CAT B/C Ships Platform Systems operator/maintainer or relevant disciplines.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing, assembly, commissioning, and testing processes within the business.
  • Basic understanding of environmental challenges faced by the product.
  • Knowledge of specialized analysis tools and relevant engineering standards.
Benefits

As a Submarine Operability Specialist at BAE Systems (New), you will receive a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on your experience.
