About the Role

Our Aviation and Retail vertical combines business and technology expertise to drive business value and solve industry challenges.

As the Head of Industry for Aviation, Retail, and Consumer Markets, you'll play a key role in helping us deliver innovative digital solutions and cutting-edge technologies in these sectors.

You'll work closely with clients to understand their business needs and develop tailored solutions to drive growth and competitiveness.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with clients to develop and implement innovative solutions
  • Positioning BJSS as a market leader in the industry
  • Building strong relationships with business decision-makers in Aviation and Retail
  • Driving sales and revenue growth through strategic account management
  • Mentoring the Aviation, Retail, and Consumer Industry team to achieve industry strategy

You'll lead the vertical by defining, prospecting, and closing client-specific solution sales to help organizations differentiate and gain a competitive edge.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing the vertical vision and direction to drive growth
  • Building credibility and senior-level relationships with hyperscale cloud partners
  • Developing a robust industry plan to generate new and sustained repeat business
  • Developing and executing a strategy focused on distinctive industry go-to-market propositions
  • Nurturing senior-level relationships on strategic accounts
  • Helping to develop IP and best practices around client and portfolio development
  • Approaching clients as true business partners to realize the company's full potential
  • Leveraging existing capabilities at BJSS to deliver pragmatic solutions to complex business issues

About You

You'll be a hands-on, non-hierarchical operator with extensive Aviation experience and a strong understanding of consumer-facing industries.

You'll have excellent consultative skills, the ability to develop and strengthen peer-to-peer relationships with clients, and the capacity to communicate complex ideas clearly and succinctly.

You'll bring strong industry knowledge, including strategy, business development, account management, and thought leadership.

You'll thrive in a fast-paced, challenging, and entrepreneurial environment.

Key requirements include:

  • Ability to lead clients through the entire sales cycle
  • High energy level, sense of urgency, decisiveness, and ability to work well under pressure
  • Significant network across Aviation and consumer-facing businesses
  • Track record in converting business contacts and leads into sustainable revenue streams
  • Ability to read people accurately and assess strengths, weaknesses, and potential
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills, confident and impactful presenter
  • Objective, fact-based approach to problem-solving
  • Driven by values and integrity, talking straight, building confidence, and leading by example
  • Ability to influence and persuade across a multiple-stakeholder environment
  • Ability to develop and deliver thought leadership and industry insights
  • UK commercial experience required
