Matchtech is currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Electronics Systems Developer to join our team on a contract basis in Marlow. This exciting opportunity allows you to leverage your expertise in electronics circuit design and development within the high-impact Defence and Security sector.

About the Role:
  • You will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering electronic sub-systems for aerospace and defence applications.
  • Your primary focus will be on project delivery, ensuring timely completion while adhering to internal processes and best practices.
  • As an experienced electronics engineer, you will research, design, develop, and prototype electronic solutions to support product development.
  • You will characterise, test, and down-select components based on performance and cost criteria.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Development: Take ownership of electronic sub-system design and development for the aerospace and defence market.
  • Project Delivery: Deliver project tasks on schedule, within budget, and meeting quality standards.
  • Research and Innovation: Conduct research to identify new technologies and design innovative electronic solutions.
  • Component Selection: Select and evaluate components for performance and cost effectiveness.
  • Software Development: Develop software to aid evaluation of electronic devices or automate test equipment.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • A strong background in electronics design, testing, integration, and engineering.
  • Familiarity with current RF technologies, including low noise receiver design, PLL/Synthesizers, and digital attenuators.
  • Knowledge of common interface busses such as SPI, I2C, and PMBus.
  • Proficiency in high-speed digital technologies, including CPLD, Microprocessor, FPGA, and DDR Memory.
  • Experience in project life-cycle delivery from bids to operations.
  • A solid understanding of software development life-cycles and processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Benefits:

This role offers a competitive salary of £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with a range of benefits, including professional development opportunities and a supportive work environment.
