We are seeking an experienced Head Registered Equine Veterinary Nurse to lead our clinical team at our Tottenham Hale practice.

Job Summary

This is a Full-Time role working 40 hours per week, including one in three weekends. As a Head RVN, you will direct the day-to-day running of the clinical team, providing guidance and mentorship while maintaining high standards of care. You will also be involved in appraisals and auditing of clinical care, inspiring and motivating your colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and motivate the clinical team to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Mentor and develop the potential of our RVNs in their individual surgical and medical interests
  • Assist in the training of the whole nurse and VCA team
  • Contribute to appraisals and auditing of clinical care
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in equine veterinary nursing, with excellent general nursing experience
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience directing teams
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to adapt to changing situations
  • A genuine interest in animal welfare and a passion for delivering outstanding pet healthcare
