**About the Role:**

We are seeking a talented Brand Communications Director to join our team and lead our brand communications efforts.

This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in corporate communications, crisis management, and storytelling to shape Depop's brand narrative and reputation.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and execute comprehensive communications strategies to drive Depop's brand narrative and reputation.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership, marketing, product, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Manage and oversee crisis and issues management, providing expert counsel to cross-functional partners on communications considerations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key media contacts, influencers, and stakeholders to secure positive media coverage for Depop.
  • Provide training and support to junior team members on brand communications best practices and techniques.

**Requirements:**

  • Proven experience working in brand communications, ideally at a tech company, social marketplace, or e-commerce business growing at scale.
  • Strong experience in crisis and issues management, with outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Thoughtful and creative approach to storytelling via brand communications, with proficiency in the UK/US landscape.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapting quickly and flexibly to change, with strong organisational and project management skills.

**What We Offer:**

  • A competitive salary of £80,000 - £110,000 per year, depending on experience.
  • 25 days annual leave, with the option to carry over up to 5 days, and 1 company-wide day off per quarter.
  • Impact hours: Up to 2 days additional paid leave per year for volunteering.
  • Fully paid 4 week sabbatical after completion of 5 years of consecutive service with Depop.
  • Flexible Working: MyMode hybrid-working model with Flex, Office Based, and Remote options.
  • All offices are dog-friendly, and you can work abroad for 4 weeks per year in UK tax treaty countries.
