The salary for this role is estimated to be up to £39,500 per annum, plus benefits and overtime.

About the Job:

  • This is a site-based position, responsible for the operation and maintenance of mechanical plant and equipment within CHP energy centres and network customers' premises.
  • The successful candidate will service, diagnose faults, and repair a wide range of mechanical plant, with particular emphasis on internal combustion engines, generators, and CHP units.
  • Mechanical and plumbing repairs, and maintenance of domestic and commercial HIU's will also be key responsibilities.
  • Monitoring performance and status, early diagnosis of faults, and working to PPM lists to maximise operating efficiency, availability, and asset life, utilising CMMS and reporting systems.

What We're Looking For:

  • A qualified and experienced mechanical maintenance engineer, holding relevant mechanical qualifications to City & Guilds or NVQ standard, relevant apprenticeship/qualification in mechanical engineering.
  • CHP (combined heat & power) or generator experience is desired.
  • Experience in maintenance & repair for commercial pumps, pipework, motors & valves.
  • Experience of working with PLC/SCADA systems is desirable.
  • Royal Navy/Marine Engineering background is considered.
