Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Engineer or Senior Civil Infrastructure Engineer to join our consultancy in the United Kingdom. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in civil engineering and be passionate to learn and develop towards chartership.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing infrastructure projects, reviewing and project managing projects whilst mentoring junior staff. This involves designing infrastructure projects such as civil and structural engineering, transport infrastructure and industrial sector projects. You will work closely with clients and stakeholders to deliver high-quality results.

Responsibilities:
  1. Design infrastructure projects
  2. Review and project manage projects
  3. Mentor junior staff
  4. Liaise with clients and stakeholders
  5. Manage workload and work to tight deadlines

Experience Required:

  • A Bachelor's degree (BSc or BEng) in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred
  • 5 years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on infrastructure design and project management from a UK consultancy
  • Proficiency in relevant engineering software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D/PDS, Microdrainage/Info Drainage PDS, and other design tools
  • On route to or have obtained IEng or CEng status
  • Strong understanding of regulatory standards, codes, and guidelines related to infrastructure design and construction
  • Excellent report writing skills with experience in flood risk assessments (FRA)
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
