Role Overview

As a Systems Engineer with a focus on Through Life Engineering, you will work with the MOD and QinetiQ teams to deliver planning and support arrangements for equipment support and logistics services. You will be the ILS point of contact for projects, ensuring relevant interfaces across stakeholders, and will have the ability to engage with stakeholders at junior and senior levels to support ILS activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design of the through life support process in support of product and service solutions
  • Providing ILS input to System Requirements sets, and making recommendations on the verification method for ILS related requirements
  • Ensuring that assigned requirements are met and verified through a programme of progressive assurance in line with the system Validation & Verification strategy
  • Making recommendations on the tailoring of ILS activities to meet the requirements of a particular project
  • Conducting a range of AR&M activities & spares modelling, and producing related MTA, LORA, FMECA & RCM reports

Requirements

  • Knowledge of UK & international standards relating to ILS activities
  • An ability to challenge design concepts and trade requirements, in order to optimise support
  • In-depth knowledge of Def Stan 00-600, in-depth knowledge of Defence Logistics Framework (was JSP 886)
  • In-depth knowledge of the product lifecycle including the CADMID cycle
