About the Role

The Senior Data Privacy and Compliance Specialist will be responsible for leading on data privacy, AI, cybersecurity and compliance matters for our UK business. The successful candidate will provide wide-ranging legal support and advice to our group of high street brands. The role is being offered on a 4-day week basis with 2 days in the office. As the lead on data privacy matters, the appointee will liaise with the European data privacy team and ensure best practice across the brands globally. They will also have the opportunity to work on related regulatory and compliance matters, developing strong relationships with the business, supporting a culture of integrity and partnering with the business to ensure it has the right legal support to meet its vision and expectations.

About You

We are looking for a data privacy lawyer with a difference - someone who is looking to do more, especially in the AI and cybersecurity space as well as in the compliance and regulatory space. Experience working with retail and consumer brands would be welcome, or even healthcare or manufacturing. A degree of in-house experience is likely to be key as the role requires experience implementing data privacy policies and training the business, as well as processes and procedures.
