About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Pontypool. As a key member of our operations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of our production facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide effective maintenance support to the production function, focusing on safe and efficient practices.
  • Implement proactive machinery maintenance programs to minimize unplanned breakdowns and optimize production efficiency.
  • Manage and procure spare parts inventory, ensuring timely availability for repairs and replacements.
  • Assist with equipment installation, relocation, and setup as required.
  • Deliver high-quality facilities maintenance services, prioritizing safety and reliability.
  • Coordinate with external suppliers and contractors to support production and maintenance needs.
  • Analyze defects using root cause analysis techniques to improve quality and productivity.
Requirements
  • Multiskilled engineering technician with experience in electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Relevant qualifications - minimum BTEC L3 and NVQ L3 in maintenance engineering or similar.
  • Hands-on capability to resolve day-to-day maintenance issues effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills and fault-finding expertise.
  • Ability to learn new skills through training and development.
  • Familiarity with project management principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of engineering manuals, drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
