Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Fabrication Quality Control Expert to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of fabricated steel by reviewing design documents, inspecting materials, overseeing production, and conducting final inspections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspecting materials and fabricated items to ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards

  • Reviewing design documents and engineering drawings to identify potential issues and areas for improvement

  • Oversight of production processes to ensure adherence to quality control procedures

  • Conducting final inspections to ensure the quality of fabricated steel meets required standards

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role in the structural steel sector

  • Solid experience reading and interpreting structural drawings

  • Strong knowledge of quality control processes and procedures

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations in structural fabrication

Benefits:

  • Basic Salary: £38,480 per annum

  • Opportunity for overtime (time and a half in the week and Saturdays £27.75 P/H & double time Sundays £37.00 P/H)

  • Shift pattern 6.00 PM Monday to Friday

Location:

The successful candidate will be based in the Northwest region, covering areas such as Wigan, Skelmersdale, Bolton, St Helens, Ormskirk, Salford, Manchester, Warrington, Liverpool, Cheshire.
