Job Title: Azure Application Gateway Engineer

Location: Remote

Daily Rate: £450 - £500

Job Type: 6 month Contract

We are seeking a skilled Azure Application Gateway Engineer to join our team for a six-month contract. The successful candidate will design, implement, and manage Azure Application Gateway configurations, including Web Application Firewall (WAF) policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Configuration and Management: Design, implement, and manage Azure Application Gateway configurations, including WAF policies.
  2. Performance Optimisation: Monitor and analyse application performance metrics, troubleshoot issues, and optimise traffic management for improved performance and scalability.
  3. Security Implementation: Configure WAF rules and security settings to protect web applications from threats, including DDoS and SQL injection attacks.
  4. Collaboration: Work closely with development, DevOps, and security teams to integrate Azure Application Gateway with existing applications and services.
  5. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, processes, and best practices.
  6. Testing and Validation: Conduct testing of new features, updates, and configurations to ensure they meet performance and security standards.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  1. 3 years of commercial working experience with Azure services, specifically Azure Application Gateway and related networking technologies.

Technical Skills:

  1. Strong understanding of web technologies, including HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, and SSL/TLS.
  2. Familiarity with Azure networking concepts, including Virtual Networks, Network Security Groups, and Load Balancers.
