Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and courteous Casual Waiter/tress to join our Event team at Jumeirah Carlton Tower. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere in our dining areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and seat guests in a polite and professional manner, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Present menus, offer suggestions, and provide detailed information about menu items, including daily specials and dietary options.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them promptly to the kitchen and bar staff.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and courteous manner, following the hotel's standards for service and presentation.
  • Monitor and attend to the needs of guests, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction throughout their dining experience.
  • Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests with professionalism and efficiency, escalating issues to management when necessary.
  • Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware, and glassware, and ensure that all dining areas are clean and well-presented.
  • Process payments and handle cash or card transactions accurately, using the hotel's point-of-sale system.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service and timely delivery of orders.
  • Assist in the setup and breakdown of dining areas for special events, private functions, and banquets, maintaining high standards of organization and cleanliness.

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have previous experience as a waiter/waitress in a luxury hotel, fine dining restaurant, or similar upscale environment. Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards, including wine and cocktail service, is essential. Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to anticipate and fulfill guests' needs and preferences, are also required.
