Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Safety Engineering Lead to join our team at BAE Systems. As a senior member of our Safety & Environmental team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing safety strategies across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement safety strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with project managers and engineers to identify and mitigate safety risks.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., mechanical, electrical, or aerospace engineering).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in safety engineering, preferably in the defense or aerospace industry.
  • Strong knowledge of safety engineering tools, processes, and regulations (e.g., DEF STAN 00-56).
  • Proven leadership skills, with experience managing teams and leading projects.
Compensation

The salary for this position ranges from £80,000 to £110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including a pension scheme, annual leave allowance, and flexible working arrangements.
