Role Overview
Allianz Commercial South Region is seeking a dedicated Underwriting Team Manager to support our Motor Trade South Centre of Excellence underwriting team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
The ideal candidate will be a strong operational team leader who will work within an established team of Mid-Market Motor Trade underwriters, taking ownership of day-to-day operational results. They will have the skill set to lead the team in a professional way, delivering a high standard of service to both external and internal customers.
This is a regional role across the South Region, covering Southampton, Maidstone, Chelmsford, London, and Guildford. The role is hybrid, with a requirement to be in the office 2-3 days per week.

Operational/Technical Management:

- Empowering your team to operate using best practice in operational efficiency.
- Enabling your team to operate to best advantage by ensuring technical training, authority level advancement, and underwriting capability is maximized.
- Monitoring and reporting of relevant KPIs.
- Positively rolling out new processes and enthusiastically supporting change and driving morale as required.
- Project management as required.
Collaboration and Best Practice:
- Providing support to all stakeholders.
- Enthusiastically embracing One Allianz and understanding the range of propositions that we have to offer, both within Allianz UK and globally.
- Ensuring compliance, both personally and in your team, with corporate governance, Allianz Standards Underwriting (ASU), and regulatory requirements.
- Supporting Compliance and Corporate Governance across underwriting discipline.
