About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and shape our Children's Care and Protection Service, driving innovation and ensuring that all services meet the needs of children, young people, and families. You will be responsible for:

  • Leading the strategic development and delivery of the Children's Care and Protection Service
  • Ensuring effective safeguarding and protection for children and families at all levels of need
  • Collaborating with health, education, and police partners to deliver integrated services
  • Fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and diverse culture of excellence, enabling flexible and responsive ways of working
  • Acting as a strategic change maker, driving service transformation
  • Managing budgets effectively, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and aligned with service goals
About You

We are looking for a senior leader with a strong background in children's social care and protection. You will have extensive experience of managing complex safeguarding services, as well as a deep understanding of SEND and multi-agency collaboration. You will be a qualified social worker with registration or eligibility for registration with Social Work England, and have significant strategic experience in a leadership role within Children's Services Social Care.

You will be a strong communicator with excellent stakeholder engagement skills, and have a proven track record in strategic planning, operational management, and budget management. You will be passionate about improving outcomes for children and families, and have a commitment to delivering high-quality services that meet the needs of our communities.
