About the Role: We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Performance Engineer to join our team at Arqiva. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading our software development efforts and driving innovation in our development practices.

We offer a competitive package, including a base salary of up to £59K, 6% pension contribution, private medical, 25 days annual leave, and access to flexible benefits. In addition, we operate a flexible, hybrid working environment with travel to Winchester or London offices once or twice a week.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead software development work, developing robust solutions, contributing to software features and bug fixes, participating in code reviews and testing.
  2. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, sharing your knowledge with the team.
  3. Drive innovation and efficiency in development practices, collaborating with colleagues to achieve our goals.

What You Need:
  • Experience in software development with a focus on high-performance, scalable, and secure code.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of modern software architectures, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Deep understanding of the software development and deployment lifecycle, including CI/CD practices.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript and Python.
  • Good problem-solving, analytical, and logical skills to troubleshoot and solve complex software problems.
