Accelero, a leading e-commerce company, is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to manage and optimize our data infrastructure in Newcastle. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless flow and integrity of data across our systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop robust ETL pipelines to support data integration and transformation processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
  • Optimize and tune data processing workflows to improve efficiency and performance.
  • Implement and manage data storage solutions in cloud environments, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Develop and maintain data models and database schemas to support analytics and reporting.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure data quality and consistency.
  • Work with large datasets, performing data wrangling and preprocessing to prepare data for analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in Python for data manipulation and automation tasks.
  • Advanced SQL skills for querying and managing relational databases.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS (preferred), GCP, or Azure.
  • Extensive experience in designing, building, and maintaining ETL pipelines.
