Role Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and passionate KS1 Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant school community.



Responsibilities

  • Assist Classroom Instruction: Collaborate closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging and interactive lessons that align with the Key Stage 1 curriculum objectives, fostering a love for learning among students.
  • Provide Individualised Support: Recognize and address the diverse needs of students, offering tailored assistance to help them overcome challenges and achieve their academic goals.
  • Facilitate Learning Activities: Organize and facilitate small group activities, interventions, and enrichment opportunities to reinforce classroom learning and promote skill development in literacy, numeracy, and other key areas.
  • Promote Positive Behavior: Model and encourage positive behavior and attitudes, helping students develop essential social skills, self-confidence, and a sense of responsibility within the school community.
  • Support Assessment and Feedback: Assist in the assessment process by observing student progress, administering tests and assignments, and providing constructive feedback to inform instructional planning and differentiation.
  • Create a Welcoming Environment: Foster a warm and inclusive classroom atmosphere where every student feels valued, respected, and supported in their learning journey.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Build strong partnerships with colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders to ensure a cohesive approach to student support and holistic development.
