Clinical Support Worker Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Clinical Support Worker to join our team at South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Support Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting our registered professionals in the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care.

The Aylesford Unit, where this role is based, provides specialist cancer care and supportive treatments to non-cancer patients. As a Clinical Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience working in a clinical and administrative environment, rotating through Reception, Phlebotomy, Outpatient Clinics, and our Chemotherapy Treatment Area.

This is a full-time position, with part-time hours considered. We are looking for someone who is able to work flexibly over a 24-hour period and is willing to carry out moderate to intense physical effort throughout the working day.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality, caring, and compassionate personal care and associated duties under the direction and supervision of the registered professional.
  • Support the registered professional in the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care to patients and their relatives.
  • Communicate effectively within the multi-disciplinary team to ensure that patient care is well-planned and coordinated.
  • Report incidents, accidents, and complaints as per Trust Policy and to the senior professional on duty, ensuring an open and transparent culture.
Requirements
  • GCSE level A-C English and Maths or equivalent.
  • Experience working as part of a team and delivering care in a healthcare or people-centred environment.
  • Good written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work to agreed levels of competency and prioritise workload.
