Senior Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team at Langham Recruitment. As a key member of our FinTech team, you will play a crucial role in the development of new features and the maintenance of existing ones across our diverse range of products.

You will work closely with our Lead Developer and have the opportunity to work with a range of technologies including.NET Core, ASP.NET, React, JavaScript, and Azure. We are looking for a developer with strong expertise in Microsoft technologies, including.NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework, and LINQ.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop new features and maintain existing functionality across our existing products
  • Identify and suggest improvements within the systems to enhance performance and user experience
  • Lead or support the development of various projects, ensuring high standards of code quality
  • Mentor and train junior developers, helping them advance their skills and careers
Requirements:
  • 4-5 years of commercial experience in software development
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft technologies, including.NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework, and LINQ
  • Proven experience with SQL and database design
  • Good understanding of React.js and core web technologies like JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS
  • Experience working with Web APIs and integrating various software applications
  • Experience in mentoring/coaching or leading teams
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
  • Strong understanding of clean code practices, design patterns, and SOLID principles
Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Previous experience in sectors like recruitment, finance, payroll, or accounting would be a bonus
  • Experience with front-end frameworks like Vue.js, Angular, or Blazor
  • Familiarity with cloud services (Azure), CI/CD pipelines, and modern security practices
  • Exposure to mobile development technologies such as Xamarin, Flutter, or React Native
