Job Title: HGV/Plant Technician

Location: Armthorpe, near Doncaster

Job Type: Full-time

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced HGV/Plant Technician to join our team at our client's modern HGV workshop in Armthorpe, near Doncaster. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy goods vacuum excavators to ensure they are safe and efficient for operation.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct HGV vehicle inspections and repair in accordance with DVSA standards and the GTMR.
  • Interpret schematics and technical drawings to diagnose and repair faults.
  • Use hand tools and equipment to perform maintenance and repairs on HGV and Plant.
  • Conduct mechanical and electrical diagnostics on vehicles and Plant.
  • Carry out forklift, soldering, welding, and other associated tasks as required.
  • Perform heavy lifting when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in HGV/Plant maintenance and repair.
  • Knowledge of DVSA standards and the GTMR.
  • Ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
