About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Nursery Manager to join our team as a Nursery Support Manager. This role will involve providing exceptional childcare knowledge and supporting the day-to-day running of our nurseries.

As a Nursery Support Manager, you will work closely with our assistant managers to deliver the nursery's financial operating plan and EBITDA contribution. You will also be responsible for supporting the performance of our nurseries and providing additional support to centres with staff sickness, annual leave, or maternity cover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership: Inspire and lead your team towards excellence
  • Quality Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements in educational programs and operational procedures
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements and maintain a secure environment for children
  • Financial Management: Oversee the budget and resources effectively
  • Community Engagement: Foster positive relationships with parents, staff, and the local community
  • Professional Development: Encourage continuous team development to provide the best care and education

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Adaptable and able to quickly build relationships with teams and parents
  • Excellent understanding of welfare requirements and Ofsted Early Years inspection handbook
  • Ability to manage the recovery of Centres who may need additional support due to challenges
  • A good understanding of KPI's and a proven track record of recovery of struggling Centres
  • Able to support, train and mentor other Managers in the area, division
  • Excellent time management with a proactive solution-focused approach
  • Be able to work with more than one Centre at a time where appropriate and be adaptable to diary changes
  • Prepared to cover maternity or long-term vacancies in a Centre
  • Good knowledge of safeguarding process and safer recruitment

Your Qualifications

  • NNEB or BTEC Nat Dip or CACHE Dip in Childcare or NVQ level 3 or SVQ held for at least 3 years
  • Degree or Leadership and Management qualification (Desirable)
  • At least 2 years previous experience as a Nursery Manager/Senior or support manager
