The Telegraph Media Group is seeking an experienced Editorial Commissioning Lead to support the development of our highly trusted Recommends editorial channel.

This role offers a unique chance to work with a talented team of writers and experts, delivering top-quality product reviews that meet the highest standards of Telegraph editorial excellence.

About the Role

As an Editorial Commissioning Lead, you will be responsible for commissioning and editing product reviews, taking ownership of one of our current core strands - Home & Garden, Tech and Beauty. You will work closely with writers and experts to ensure that reviews are rigorously tested and meet the expected quality standards.

Main Responsibilities

  • Commission and edit high-quality product reviews using the best writers and experts to ensure Telegraph editorial standards are met.
  • Evaluate and select products for review, working closely with writers and experts to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Maintain editorial independence and ensure all decisions are taken by editorial.
  • Coordinate logistics, including product sourcing, delivery, testing, and return.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Demonstrable experience in editorial commissioning or a related field.
  • Exceptional digital publishing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • In-depth knowledge of SEO principles and practices.
  • A strong network of contacts among writers and experts in relevant fields.
  • An understanding of video content creation and its application in product reviews.

Our Offer
