About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Support Specialist to join our team at Wellington Care, a subsidiary of Hull and East Yorkshire Mind. As a Care Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with complex needs to achieve their goals and improve their mental health and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred support to individuals with complex needs, promoting independence and wellbeing.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement tailored support plans.
  • Contribute to a safe and welcoming living environment, with a focus on around-the-clock care and community support.
  • Engage with individuals to understand their needs and preferences, and support them to make informed decisions.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of new initiatives and projects.

Requirements

  • Experience of working in a care or support setting, preferably with adults with complex needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with individuals and colleagues.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, and to respond to changing circumstances.
  • Knowledge of mental health and wellbeing principles, and a commitment to promoting positive outcomes.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, with a focus on collaboration and mutual support.
