Permanent Salary range: 10% company & performance related bonus

Full time: 37 hours

The IT Project Manager is accountable for delivering individual technology projects or contributing to the delivery of large projects and initiatives in a regulated environment using Waterfall, Agile, or a combination of both.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project Delivery & Accountability: Oversee the complete delivery of IT projects, ensuring adherence to agreed plans, budgets, quality standards, and timelines.
  2. Coordination & Alignment: Coordinate activities, dependencies, and critical paths to align with project goals.
  3. Project Planning & Management: Develop and manage optimized project plans, resource requirements, budgets, critical success factors, and key milestones for all IT projects.
  4. Financial Reporting: Provide accurate and regular financial forecasts and reports to stakeholders.
  5. Team Leadership: Direct and motivate the project team within a matrix management organization.
  6. Governance & Frameworks: Align with Bupa's IT project governance and delivery frameworks.
  7. Cost Reduction & Outcome Improvement: Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve outcomes throughout the project duration.
  8. Standards & Procedures: Ensure IT projects are managed according to agreed standards, methods, and procedures.
  9. SAFe Framework Leadership: Lead and manage large-scale, business-aligned cross-functional IT projects using the SAFe framework.
  10. Agile Facilitation: Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  11. Collaboration: Work closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and other stakeholders to clearly define and achieve project goals.
  12. Progress Tracking: Track and report on project progress, including scope, timeline, risks, and budget.
  13. Coaching & Mentoring: Serve as a coach and mentor for team members on Agile best practices and SAFe methodologies.
  14. Dependency Management: Manage dependencies between teams and align cross-functional teams for smooth project execution.
  15. Program Increment Planning: Contribute to Program Increment (PI) planning, manage risks and dependencies at the program level, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  16. Meeting Facilitation: Set up, lead, and facilitate steering committees and project meetings.
  17. Continuous Improvement Support: Support a continuous improvement ethos within the IT Change community.
Requirements:
  1. Project Management: Expertise in IT, technical, or digital project management with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  2. Risk Management: Ability to manage risks, issues, and dependencies effectively.
  3. Methodologies: Strong knowledge of project methodologies and delivery techniques.
  4. Certifications: Project Management qualifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are desirable.
  5. Commercial Acumen: Experience in commercial and vendor management.
  6. Resource Management: Experience in managing project resources and costs efficiently.
