About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our Data Journey team within the Third-Party Administration area. As a Data Analyst, you will play a key role in building a modern data platform, serving our current customer needs, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, investigate, and resolve data issues, discrepancies, and risks within new or existing datasets to ensure data completeness and consistency.
  • Develop reports and extracts for key stakeholders in on-premise and cloud-hosted data stores.
  • Collaborate with the Data Engineering team to analyze and develop robust data models and pipelines to support analytics, reporting, and visualizations from our Data Lakehouse.
  • Work with technical and non-technical teams to understand user requirements and bridge the gap between stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in data tooling and promote best practices to the wider business.

About You

You will be comfortable working in a team environment and have the initiative to explore solutions independently. As a Data Analyst, you will have the opportunity to build robust data and reporting solutions using technologies suited for the specified audience.

To succeed in this role, you will have experience working with SQL databases, such as Microsoft SQL Server, and be excited about building your expertise with Azure-hosted data platforms.

Requirements

  • Comfortable working with large volumes of data, including time series and numeric data.
  • Experience with SQL database technologies, scripting, extracting, creating, and modifying data, as well as knowledge of SQL objects.
  • Meticulous approach to pinpoint and remedy data and reporting discrepancies.
  • Confident in engaging constructively in a multi-disciplined team environment.
  • Self-motivated with a drive to learn and share knowledge.
  • Effective communicator and team player.
  • Able to forge strong and professional relationships.

Desirable

  • Domain knowledge of the pensions industry is beneficial, but a passion to learn is most important.
  • Experience or familiarity with coding in R, Python, or other data modeling/analysis technologies, PowerBI for reporting and visualizations, data modeling for downstream extraction or consumption, data lakes for data storage, and data cleansing, manipulation, and analysis of large datasets.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration, continuous delivery, agile methodologies, and Azure DevOps.
