In Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, we are seeking an exceptional Senior Diagnostic Radiological Physicist to lead our diagnostic radiology team. With a salary of approximately £68,000 - £88,000 per annum, this role offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and contribute to the development of new treatments and services.

About the Role

This permanent position is responsible for providing highly complex and specialized radiological physics support and scientific expertise to our trust and Service Level Agreement customers. The successful candidate will join a friendly and dynamic team delivering scientific and technical support and radiation safety services.

The post holder will be responsible for:

  • Acting as the Senior Radiological Physicist for Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and other trusts covered by Service Level Agreements (SLA).
  • Providing highly complex and specialised radiological physics support and scientific expertise to the trust and SLA customers.
  • Deputising for the RPAs as appropriate.

About You

We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic physicist with a few years of experience and a good background in Quality Assurance, optimisation, and radiation protection/safety. You should have a strong understanding of relevant legislation, national standards, professional, and other guidelines, and be able to interpret and apply such relevant guidance and legislation.

You will also have:

  • A honours degree in a relevant subject.
  • An MSc in Medical Physics or equivalent.
  • NHS STP training in medical physics or equivalent.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
