Bid Analysis Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Bid Analysis Manager to join our team at CV Library. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall bid development process for large-scale energy performance projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Bid Development and Management: Develop and manage bids for large-scale energy performance projects, ensuring that all bids meet the specific criteria of CEF and Salix PSDS funding requirements.
  2. Commercial and Technical Evaluation: Conduct on-site surveys at hospital facilities to evaluate existing energy infrastructure and identify opportunities for improvement and energy efficiency.
  3. Site Surveys and Equipment Sizing: Coordinate the sizing and costing of equipment such as CHP systems, biomass boilers, heat network piping, pumps, and plate heat exchangers.
  4. Cost Estimation and Financial Analysis: Develop accurate cost estimates for projects, encompassing equipment, labour, and associated expenses.
  5. Stakeholder Coordination: Facilitate clear communication and collaboration among all parties to ensure bids reflect a comprehensive understanding of project goals and technical requirements.
  6. Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all bids meet the specific criteria of CEF and Salix PSDS funding requirements, including energy efficiency and environmental sustainability targets.
  7. Project Management and Delivery: Oversee the transition from bid approval to project implementation, providing continuous support to ensure alignment with the proposed bid and financial models.
Requirements:
  1. HNC/HND or Bachelor's degree in Building Services Engineering.
  2. Extensive experience as a Project Manager within the building services or energy sectors, with a strong understanding of commercial and financial principles.
  3. A track record in developing and managing bids for large-scale energy performance projects, preferably within the renewable energy or healthcare sectors.
  4. Strong technical knowledge of heat pump systems, heat networks, and energy efficiency technologies.
  5. Experience in conducting site surveys and sizing critical infrastructure, including plant room equipment and electrical systems.
  6. Ability to understand financial modelling, including NPV analysis and lifecycle cost assessment.
  7. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
