Job Title: Senior Clinical Research Nurse

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Clinical Research Nurse to lead our Respiratory Research Team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and leading the scoping of studies for the team, feasibility assessment, study set up and planning, and supporting the team with recruitment and follow-up to the studies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead the scoping of studies for the team
  • Conduct feasibility assessments and study set up and planning
  • Support the team with recruitment and follow-up to the studies
  • Line manage a team of research delivery staff
  • Project manage the assignment of staff to ensure all visits, observations, and interventions with participants are conducted in accordance with the procedures and schedule of the study protocol
  • Act as an expert resource for staff in relation to the financial management of clinical research studies
  • Use expert judgement in relation to competing demands for funding and resources
Requirements
  • RGN or equivalent healthcare professional with current live registration
  • Undergraduate degree in a health-related discipline or relevant experience
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Significant experience working at Band 6 or higher in a clinical research environment
  • Experience of managing multiple research projects (commercial and/or non-commercial)
  • Experience of successful leadership and people management
  • Experience of human resource management
  • Experience of working with respiratory patients
  • Knowledge of research funding and experience managing study invoicing, maintaining oversight of study finances and budgets
