Fleet Special Needs Teaching Assistant Role

This exciting opportunity allows you to work with a dynamic Primary school in Fleet, supporting students with mild to severe special educational needs on a one-to-one basis. As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the class teacher in delivering tailored learning experiences and providing behaviour and pastoral support.

Responsibilities:
  1. Work closely with the class teacher to develop and implement individualized learning plans
  2. Provide emotional and social support to students with SEN
  3. Maintain effective relationships with students, teachers, and other professionals
  4. Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  5. Collaborate with other teaching assistants to achieve common goals

This role offers a unique chance to acquire relevant experience, enhance your knowledge and skills, and work alongside other professionals in the education sector. Potential career pathways include becoming a Primary Teacher, Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or pursuing roles in Child Psychology and Educational Psychology.

Essential Information:
  • Estimated daily wage: £85 (term time only)
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm
  • Necessary requirements: Right to work in the UK; Enhanced DBS and/or overseas police check for candidates registered with Academics Ltd
