Job Title: Care Assistant - Derby

We are seeking experienced Care Assistants to join our team in the Derby area. As a Care Assistant, you will be working within care homes, providing high-quality care to residents with dementia and other age-related illnesses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that all care plans are followed to provide the best possible support to service users.
  • Participate in activities with residents, promoting engagement and activity during the day.
  • Assist with moving and handling duties, including the use of mobile hoists.
  • Oversee the health and safety of service users under your care.
  • Prepare and serve light meals/snacks to residents and record fluid intakes.
  • Assist residents with personal care, including showering, bed baths, and changing pads.
  • During night shifts, record frequent observation checks and undertake re-positioning as required.
  • Undertake basic cleaning duties, following cleaning rotas and safety procedures.
Hours and Pay:
  • Hours operate on a 'as required' basis.
  • Pay rate: £12.00 per hour.
Requirements:
  • 2 care-related references from professional care settings.
  • Mandatory training certificates dated within the past 12 months or facility to pay for required training.
  • Enhanced DBS certificate covering Adults and Children.
  • Minimum 3 months paid UK work experience in a care home or supported living service.

We offer online training at a subsidised fee and provide certificates. If you do not have a valid DBS and/or training, do not worry - we can help you with this.
