Geoscientists for Submarine Cabling Consultancy

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Marine Geoscience Consultant to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Marine Geosciences, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively. As a Marine Geoscience Consultant, you will be responsible for performing desktop studies, analyzing data, and conducting cable burial assessments.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform desktop studies to identify the optimum routes for submarine cables
• Analyze bathymetric, geophysical, and geotechnical data to assess seabed conditions and potential hazards
• Conduct cable burial assessment and reviews on existing assets
• Review data and perform quality control
• Work closely with Contractor teams

Requirements:
• Proven background in Marine Geosciences
• Technical ability in GIS
• Good understanding of developments in submarine cable engineering principles, industry standards, and best practices
• Able to manage key stakeholders and a multi-functional team
• Degree educated in Geoscience or related technical degree
