Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Environmental Team Leader to oversee the management of environmental impact assessments and provide technical guidance to our team. As a key member of our regional leadership team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and delivering high-quality services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage all stages of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), including Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) and other environmental assessments and consents such as Water Framework Directive (WFD) and Habitats Regulations Assessment (HRA).
  2. Provide reviewer and approver role for environmental deliverables, ensuring technical quality and accuracy.
  3. Lead and manage the regional Environmental Team, including resource allocation and collaboration with National Lead and HR on pastoral care and performance.
  4. Supervise and mentor members of the environmental team to ensure their professional development and success.
Requirements
  • Full professional membership with an environmental institute (e.g. IEMA, IES or CIWEM)
  • Environmental related degree and chartered status with a relevant institute
  • Excellent understanding of EIA, sustainability, and consenting processes (planning, HRA, WFD etc.)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent people management and leadership skills, with previous experience in management or supervisory roles
  • Ability to manage commercial drivers of consultancy and work to programme and budget
  • Experience in client-facing roles and developing client relationships
  • Hold a full UK driving licence
  • Previous consultancy experience

Please note that experience of construction stage delivery is advantageous but not essential. We welcome applicants at Senior Level and above, and we can adjust salary based on grade and experience.
