SQL Developer Opportunity in Insuretech

We are seeking an experienced SQL Developer to join our client's team in London. As a leading provider of solutions for the insurance industry, they are looking for a talented individual to design, code, verify, test, and implement software solutions that meet functional and non-functional requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing, building, and refactoring SQL and reporting code using best practices and industry standards.
  • Reviewing and debugging code to ensure quality and performance.
  • Implementing unit tests and system tests to ensure software reliability.
  • Identifying and resolving bottlenecks and bugs.
  • Estimating workload based on acceptance criteria.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an SQL Developer.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with design and architectural patterns.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies.
  • Experience in Source Code Management, Continuous Integration, and Test Automation.
Technical Skills:
  • T-SQL
  • Microsoft SSIS
  • Microsoft SSRS
  • Distributed source control systems (Git, Mercurial, etc.)
  • Microsoft Power BI or other Data Visualization tools (desirable)
  • SSAS (desirable)
  • Jira (desirable)

In addition to the technical requirements, soft skills such as effective communication, workload management, and the ability to work as part of a team are essential. If you have experience mentoring junior team members, this would be a plus.
