Policy Specialist Role

We're seeking an experienced Policy Specialist to join our team at Howden Group Holdings. As a Policy Specialist, you'll be responsible for providing technical and administrative support to our broking team, ensuring the production of policy and cover documentation is accurate and compliant with business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the creation of comprehensive broking, client, and other types of documents.
  2. Check slips, quotes, and indications for accuracy.
  3. Maintain up-to-date records on Company systems for the teams.
  4. Interpret instructions and implement actions according to policies and procedures.
  5. Produce reports/MI to inform decision-making and actions.
  6. Retain a high level of knowledge of policy wording and requirements.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role is essential, likely as a Policy Technician or Account Handler in a junior role.
  • Good technical knowledge of FCA regulations as they pertain to insurance intermediaries.
  • Excellent understanding of processes and procedures within the insurance market.
