Technical Pre Sales Engineer

Samsara is a pioneer in the Connected Operations Cloud, enabling organizations to harness IoT data for actionable insights and improved operations. As a Senior Inside Sales Engineer, you'll help define the future of physical operations and shape product solutions, including Video-Based Safety, Vehicle Telematics, and Equipment Monitoring.
You'll split your time between two focus areas: technical sales and product information sourcing. Strong storytelling, objection handling, and custom workarounds are essential for winning business. Additionally, you'll be accountable for carving out time to source and deliver product information, conduct testing, and build process improvements.
This is a remote position open to candidates in the United Kingdom, with up to 50% travel required. You'll receive a competitive total compensation package, including health benefits, a charity fund, and flexible working arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with Product Management to develop the Samsara platform
- Demonstrate the value proposition of Samsara's products and services
- Be organized and analytical, eliminating sales obstacles using creative approaches
- Contribute to SE Team enablement and internal communications
- Champion Samsara's cultural principles
Requirements
- 5+ years of customer-facing experience and 2+ years of pre-sales experience
- Top-tier Key Account win ratio as an SE2
- Active contributor on Sales and SE Team Slack channels
- Experience with Samsara's products and vehicle diagnostic systems
- Hobbyist interest in working with electronic systems
