We are seeking a highly skilled Housekeeping Officer to join our team at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to provide a quality domestic service to the hospital or CHP premises, ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. You will be responsible for maintaining cleaning work schedules, methods, and procedures in accordance with NHS Scotland National Cleaning Specification and Healthcare Acquired Infection (HAI) Task Force Code of Practice.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a high level of physical fitness, and the ability to work well under pressure. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to maintaining a positive working environment and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a quality domestic service to the hospital or CHP premises
  • Maintain cleaning work schedules, methods, and procedures in accordance with NHS Scotland National Cleaning Specification and Healthcare Acquired Infection (HAI) Task Force Code of Practice
  • Rotate round all wards, clinical areas, and departments within the hospital
  • May be required to provide a food and beverage service for patients in adherence with Food Safety Regulations
