Job Title: Sexual Assault Support Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and empathetic Sexual Assault Support Specialist to join our team at the Suffolk GP Federation. As a key member of our team, you will provide vital support to individuals who have experienced sexual assault, as well as those affected by another's assault.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans with clients to empower them to explore and identify what works best for them.
  • Provide support and guidance to clients in reporting to the police, disclosing to family members, or attending appointments.
  • Utilize our in-house Recovery & Resilience programmes, wellbeing courses, or one-to-one support to help clients achieve their goals.
  • Collaborate with statutory and charitable bodies to ensure clients receive comprehensive support.
Requirements:
  • A background in supporting victims of sexual violence or a similar role is advantageous, but a compassionate and non-judgmental persona is essential.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

This is a zero hours contract to allow for flexibility and responsiveness to the needs of the service. A mileage allowance is provided for business use of your own vehicle.
