Civil Engineering Site Manager – Pinnacle Recruitment Ltd

A leading civil engineering contractor is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineering Site Manager to oversee the coordination of technical aspects, procurement of materials, and management of sub-contractors on multi-discipline heavy civil and highways projects across the Midlands region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate project planning, programming, and setup, ensuring timely completion and quality standards.
  • Develop and monitor resource programs and costings, maintaining a strong focus on profitability and cost control.
  • Lead the planning process, identifying and mitigating risks, and seizing opportunities for growth.
  • Manage and evaluate risk and opportunity, ensuring the company's interests are protected.
  • Represent the company on contractual issues, fostering strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and employees.
  • Develop and support employees under their supervision, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.

Requirements:

  • Educated to HNC/HND Civil Engineering or Degree standard, with extensive highways/infrastructure experience.
  • Previous experience as a Site Agent with a main civil engineering contractor on projects up to £5 to £10m.
  • Strong commercial awareness, ability to manage costs, customers, and supply chain.
  • High familiarization with HS&E Standards, and experience leading a team of engineers.
  • Customer focus, exposure to management leadership, and precast experience.
