Job Title: Mechanical and Electrical Technician

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical and Electrical Technician to join our team at Thames Water. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our electrical and mechanical plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate plant failures and carry out repairs to minimize downtime and ensure the continued supply of water to our customers.
  • Provide technical advice and support to colleagues, including training and guidance on electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to identify and implement improvements to our maintenance processes and procedures.
  • Participate in a standby rota to provide emergency cover for maintenance tasks.
Requirements:
  • Time-served apprentice with significant experience in electrical systems and a strong understanding of mechanical systems.
  • Previous experience in a multi-skilled capacity, with a proven track record of working on large industrial plant equipment.
  • Valid driving license and ability to work in confined spaces.
  • Competitive salary up to £43,000 per annum, depending on experience and skills.
  • Company van and all necessary tools and equipment provided.
  • 24 days holiday per year, increasing to 28 with length of service.
  • Contributory pension scheme and personal medical assessments.
