About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Maths and English Trainer and Community Development Worker to join our team at Trafford College. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality maths and English training to adult learners, as well as developing and implementing community development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver maths and English training to adult learners, using a range of teaching and learning strategies.
  • Develop and implement community development initiatives, working with local partners and stakeholders.
  • Provide learners with an exceptional educational experience, enabling them to maximise their potential.
  • Identify marketing opportunities and create marketing materials to meet individual community needs.
  • Represent the College in a calendar of events to raise the profile of Community learning.
Requirements
  • Substantial and recent experience of working as a community development worker.
  • Experience of teaching adults, particularly in maths and English.
  • Experience of delivering maths and English programmes, as well as community learning courses.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage time effectively.
  • Flexible approach to work, with a willingness to adapt to new ideas and initiatives.
