About the Role

This is a new and exciting opportunity to be part of a developing service, providing trauma-informed recovery, support, and justice to children and young people across Scotland. As a Bairns' Hoose Support Worker, you will work collaboratively with other professionals to listen to, communicate with, and advocate for the rights of children and young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support children, young people, and their caregivers to express their views and provide feedback to inform the development of the Bairns' Hoose project in Fife.
  • Work closely with the Child Protection Social Work Team in Glenrothes to deliver high-quality services.
  • Travel throughout Fife to meet with children and their families, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their needs.
Requirements
  • A wealth of experience working directly with children who have suffered adverse childhood experiences.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed practice, child development, and the impact of abuse on children and young people.
  • Skills to listen to, communicate with, and advocate for the rights of children and young people.
