Job Title: Nursery Nurse

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Nursery Nurse to join our team at Nursery People.

About the Role

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week, where you will be responsible for creating a nurturing environment for children and supporting the team in delivering high-quality childcare.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work in partnership with parents and carers to cater for individual children's needs, observing, planning, and evaluating development activities.
  • Support the Room Leader in ensuring that all nursery initiatives are fully embedded into the room, following and implementing the EYFS at all times.
  • Respond to parent queries or requests in a polite and professional manner, seeking help or signposting parents to the correct person within the nursery as appropriate.
  • Support with new staff induction into the room, to ensure consistency of care.
  • Take good care and responsibility for equipment and furniture in the room, ensuring that any issues are flagged appropriately.
Requirements
  • Experience of working in a day nursery.
  • Relevant Early Years qualification – Level 3.
  • Understanding and working knowledge of the EYFS.
  • Good understanding of health and safety requirements, safeguarding, and paediatric first aid.
  • Valid DBS check.
