Monitoring and Evaluation Manager

Connected Places Catapult is seeking a skilled Monitoring and Evaluation Manager to lead the implementation of an appropriate Monitoring and Evaluation Framework for a collaborative research and development programme in the West Midlands. The successful candidate will work with colleagues to foster collaboration across stakeholders and develop a clear methodology for collecting data to evidence the programme's impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a Monitoring and Evaluation Framework aligned with existing processes within the Catapult.
  • Work with colleagues to capture outputs and outcomes related to businesses supported under the programme.
  • Implement a data collection methodology to evidence the programme's impact.
  • Stitch together outputs and outcomes to show total impact of the programme.
  • Deliver impact assessment workshops and a toolkit for businesses supported.
  • Act as an ambassador for Monitoring and Evaluation, promoting its importance and role in demonstrating return on investment.
  • Develop evidence-based lessons to inform improvements to data collection and processes.
  • Turn analysis into compelling impact case studies.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in Monitoring and Evaluation.
  • Demonstrable ability to support colleagues to understand and buy into the merits of monitoring and evaluation.
  • Expertise in implementing metrics to support impact evaluation.
  • Ability to understand funder-led evaluation requirements and confidence to work collaboratively with the funder's evaluation team.
  • Strong understanding of evaluation best practice and experience of developing evaluation plans.
