About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our Automation, Control & Technology team at Trant Engineering Group. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing control panels, motor control centers, and automation systems for our clients in the UK and international markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop control panel schematic diagrams and general arrangements from user requirement specifications and control philosophies
  • Produce documentation packages for workshop operatives
  • Develop operation and maintenance manuals
  • Conduct onsite fault finding and modification of electrical control systems
  • Creation of risk assessments, method statements, site progress reports, and other paperwork

Requirements

  • Currently or previously working as an Electrical Controls Design Engineer
  • Good understanding of BSEN 61439 LV Directive
  • Qualified electrical engineer or by experience
  • Experienced AutoCAD user (ability to use Promis-e would be advantageous)
  • Client-facing with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Hard working and self-motivated
