About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying, with experience in residential and commercial projects. They will be responsible for carrying out quantity surveying tasks, working with existing clients, and focusing on business development to grow the department.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Quantity surveying background in residential and commercial projects.
  2. At least five years' experience in similar quantity surveying roles.
  3. Experience in all aspects of quantity surveying including:
  • Pre and post contract duties
  • Takes offs
  • Bills of quantities
  • Cost planning
  • Contracts
  • Tender analysis
  • Valuations and variation management
  • Budget reporting
  • Final accounts
Familiar with SMM7, NRM3, and major forms of measurement methods.Conversant in all major forms of contract e.g., JCT.Experience in using Microsoft Office.Someone who wants to grow the department with excellent potential for bonuses based on performance and new business.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

Comfortable with client-facingTraining and managing a QS teamProject guidanceIdeally RICS or CIOB but not a deal breaker if notGood at working with other departments to achieve project success
