We are seeking a dedicated and experienced teaching assistant to join our team at a primary school in Gravesend.

Job Summary: 1:1 Teaching Assistant for a Child with Special Educational Needs

Salary Information: Estimated £85-£95 per day

The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting children with special educational needs, be able to adapt lesson plans from the teacher, and possess excellent communication skills. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience and make a positive impact on a child's education.

About the Opportunity

This role involves providing individualised support to a child, helping them access the curriculum and reach their full potential. The successful candidate will be able to build strong relationships with the child, their family, and the teaching staff.

Main Responsibilities
  • Working closely with the teacher to develop and implement tailored learning plans
  • Providing one-to-one support to help the child overcome challenges and achieve their goals
  • Maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs
  • Ability to adapt and differentiate lesson plans
  • Basic knowledge of the curriculum and its application
