SEN Primary Teacher Role Overview

We are seeking a SEN Primary Teacher to join our team at Colne Grange School in Uxbridge, part of the Outcomes First Group. As a SEN Primary Teacher, you will take a creative approach to teaching pupils with varied and complex needs, ensuring delivery of the school curriculum in a way that maximises pupils' achievement and ability to develop.

This exciting opportunity offers the chance to work in a specialist ASD provision, providing specialist education for pupils with Autism from the ages of 3 to 11 years old. Our pupils are taught in smaller class sizes and work towards an Equals Semi-Formal Curriculum and National Curriculum expectations where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver creative lesson plans tailored to the needs of individual pupils
  • Work collaboratively with the school team to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective strategies
  • Contribute to the development of a strong safeguarding culture, ensuring the well-being and safety of all pupils

Requirements:

  • QTS or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills and Nationally recognised degree
  • Passion and experience of working within a SEN/ASC environment
  • Calm, engaging, resilient, and innovative style of teaching, motivated by helping every child to reach their potential
