Power Electronics Engineer Role Overview

Futures Manufacturing is seeking a skilled Electronics Systems Designer to join our project team in Leeds. As a Power Electronics Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing electronic systems and components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electronic systems and components based on project requirements
  • Support staff engineers with essential PCB Design and Layouts and also Testing of developed products using a High Voltage Test rig
  • Conduct system design, including schematic capture, PCB layout, and component selection
  • Perform testing and troubleshooting of electronic systems to ensure functionality and performance

Requirements:

  • BEng in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or a related field
  • Proficiency in surface mount technology (SMT) assembly techniques
  • Strong knowledge of Altium or a similar CAD package for schematic capture and PCB layout
  • Experience with logic controllers and system design
  • Proficient in programming languages and embedded code such as Python, C++, Embedded C
  • Familiarity with High Voltage (up to 4000V DC) Test Equipment
